Main Focus
- Quieter interior with better air quality and greater comfort
- Reduced energy consumption (minimum reduction of at least 20%)
Size
- 24x40 for a usable area of 960 sq ft.
Green Features
- Cool Roof system (light reflectance of 70%) to reduce heat transferred into interior spaces
- Separate lighting system for teaching area allowing for greater visibility
- Six tubular skylights that promote day-lighting as well as reduce/eliminate the need for artificial lighting (with dampers and light diffusers for solar control)
- Overhangs at either end of building to shade windows and reduce heat transfer
- Operable, 8x4 anodized aluminum frame windows with low e, dual glazing for greater day lighting and reduced thermal heat gain/loss
- HVAC interlock on windows to prevent HVAC operation when opened
- High efficiency, quiet operation wall mounted heat pump with economizer to utilize 100% outside air when conditions are suitable
- HVAC balancing box to ensure all four ceiling diffusers distribute air evenly
- Silencer on HVAC return duct to reduce noise
