Modular healthcare buildings can be constructed up to 60% faster than site built construction.
Modtech provides a range of modular healthcare buildings to meet the growing demands of the US healthcare system. We can provide healthcare buildings such as doctor’s offices, hospital administration and support buildings, rural medical clinics, outpatient treatment buildings, urgent care centers, wellness facilities and diagnostic buildings. Modular healthcare buildings can be used to create new complete medical facilities or added to existing facilities. Relocatable medical facilities provide additional space very rapidly with minimal site preparation. Permanent modular healthcare buildings can be designed to match surrounding medical buildings for a seamless transition and are indistinguishable from conventional construction.
Specialized medical facilities such as procedure rooms, diagnostic area and dialysis centers can also be constructed using Modtech medical facilities. We can include various custom features on modular healthcare buildings to meet customer requirements such as extremely durable and easy to clean wall and floor coverings. In addition, numerous architectural designs are available to provide an attractive exterior appropriate to a medical facility.
The Modtech Off-Site Construction process provides reduced construction time as the site is prepared concurrently with the construction of the modular healthcare building. The reduced construction time allows medical facilities to begin operation sooner. Off-Site Construction of modular healthcare buildings also allows medical facilities such as hospitals and medical clinics to continue functioning with minimal site disruption during construction.

A short video has been released which covers the various aspects of the construction process from modular building design through the unique concurrent Off-Site Construction stage. The modular buildings are prefabricated in the factory and at the same time the site is being prepared. After the modular buildings are mostly complete they are transported via truck to the site where they are installed. A small amount of work is needed after installation to make the modular buildings indistinguishable from site built construction.
The video highlights the construction of the modular buildings and site preparation for Walter J Porter Elementary School in Southern California. The school campus was over 44,000 sq ft and included three wings of 2 story modular classroom buildings, an administration building, restroom facilities and a multipurpose room with service kitchen. The entire campus was completed in only 12 months and the school immediately contracted Modtech to construct an identical campus on another site also using modular buildings.
